Trump vs Kamala Harris Who proves beneficial for US-Israel relation

The key topic in the upcoming US election is the ongoing war with Hamas and Hezbollah, and also the fear of worsening the war with the involvement of Iran. In such a tough situation, it is very difficult to decide who proves beneficial for the United States in the upcoming election race.

According to the opinion of the people in Jerusalem, Trump would be the better choice for the US

He definitely resolved the above-mentioned issues in a good way. According to them, he remained president for four years. During that period he worked hard to resolve many issues including the Israel-Palestine conflict. Many have believed that he is the only one who made real progress on this complicated issue.

Trump was the only US president who seemed to make a difference. This focus on Israel and its issues is very important for voters. It could be a major factor in deciding who to vote for in the election.

One of the professors at  Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Moti Stein, said that Kamala Harris would prove beneficial for Israel. According to him, the Vice President upholds the values of Israeli society.

John Golub, a resident of Jerusalem who protested against Prime Minister Netanyahu, shares this view. He thinks Harris is the best choice for ensuring democracy in Israel. Golub believes that Harris is dedicated to democracy and would help Israel become a strong, democratic nation with an independent and fair judiciary.

On the other hand, Baruch Kalman has concerns about Harris. He feels she might be more focused on the issues concerning Gazans and Hamas rather than on Israel itself. Kalman argues that Trump is a better choice because he has consistently supported Israel and kept his promises. For him, Trump’s proven support makes him the preferable candidate.

Anna Gullko stands in favor of Trump. According to her, Trump’s values shape his policies. She also believes that Trump’s important decisions are always in favor of its citizens. Also, these decisions are influenced by biblical teachings and what she feels God expects from people.

On the other hand, Zvika Klein, who is the editor-in-chief of the Jerusalem Post, wrote an opinion piece to explain why he believes Harris is not the best choice for Israel. He detailed his concerns in the article, arguing that another candidate might be more suitable for the country’s needs.

Also according to Klein, “Kamala Harris as president, I think, is something that should worry Jews and Israelis for a number of reasons.”

Klein also thinks that Middle Eastern leaders respect those world leaders who are united on the global stage. And Harris does not have such an opinion that meets this standard. Also he said that the former president also stands in favor of Israel and expresses great support for it. He also points out the major achievements of Trump. It includes brokering the Abraham Accords and moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, as clear proof of Trump’s commitment and willingness to work closely with Israel. All of these actions clearly show Trump’s support, especially on Israel issues.

Klein also believes that if Trump wins the election and becomes the next president of the United States then he should surround himself with an expert advisor. Same as he did during the earlier presidential era.

Klein thinks it’s important to check if Trump will bring back important people like Jared Kushner or David Friedman, who knew a lot about Israel and the region. If these people stay close to Trump and help shape his choices, it would be a good thing. Klein also notes that the Republican Party’s strong support for Israel is a plus.

According to the Jerusalem Post, there are up to 600,000 Americans living in Israel, with around half a million potentially eligible to vote in the upcoming November election.
