Recently, Donald Trump ‌announced the name of a new FBI director. He chose Kashyap “Kash” Patel, one of the strongest Trump supporters. He is 44 years old and has worked as a Federal prosecutor and public defender. Trump’s administration liked him due to his opinion about the FBI’s investigation. FRI director investigates whether Russia interfered in the 2016 election. According to Patel, it is good to fire the leaders of the FBI due to these inappropriate steps. He said that agencies needed stronger controls. 

Trump’s selection highlights that he wants to reshape the FBI. According to Trump, the organization is full of corrupt leaders and part of a “deep state.” Patel’s selection showed that Trump wants loyal supporters who efficiently run the organization. Patel handles the responsibilities of Christopher Wray, who was appointed by Trump in 2017. Wray faced criticism from Trump due to his Russian investigation tactics. It seems like the selection of Patel would increase ‌conflicts between Donald Trump and the FBI, particularly due to their past agreements. 

According to the former FBI director, James Comey, the FBI had many solid and good reasons to investigate matters related to Russia. However, there was no proof of collusion. 

The investigation’s participant, Kash Patel, was connected to former Republican Representative Devin Nunes. As head of the House Intelligence Committee, Nunes opposed Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. 

Donald Trump praised Patel and picked him as the new FBI director. In front of the media, he called him a “smart lawyer, investigator, and that first figure that fought for America. Trump said that there are many reasons behind the selection of Patel. According to Trump, Patel spent his whole career fighting corruption, defending Justice, and saving the American people. Trump said Patel would work with Attorney General Pam Bondi to bring back key values like fidelity, bravery, and integrity to the FBI.

Trump shed light on Patel’s important role in his first term. He was a key figure at the Department of Defense, National Intelligence, and the National Security Council.  He appreciated Patel for assisting in exposing the

“Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax,”.

Trump said that Patel is a strong defender of truth, accountability, and the Constitution. In this 2nd era, Trump promised to make the nation more secure and focus on crimes. For all of these purposes, the FBI plays an important role. 

The organization has to stop the growing levels of different crimes and punish the gangs that are involved in such crimes and illegal activities. The FBI also works hard to stop human and drug trafficking at the southern border. Trump’s opinion highlighted that his administration would make efforts to tackle safety problems. According to him, it is important to focus on laws and holding people accountable.

Patel is anticipated to back Trump’s initiatives to lessen the role of bureaucrats in government if he is approved by the Senate. When Trump wanted Patel to be her deputy during his first term, Gina Haspel, the director of the CIA, allegedly thought about leaving, suggesting that she disagreed with his strategy.

Patel said that certain government officials were undermining the nation’s constitutional framework during the Conservative Political Action Conference in July. According to Patel’s book Government Gangsters, which Trump endorses, bureaucrats who obstruct the president’s objectives should be fired.

Significant improvements were also recommended by Patel, such as relocating the FBI’s headquarters outside of Washington to shield its leadership from political interference. The general counsel’s office, which he feels has improperly assumed decision-making authority in prosecutions, is another entity he wishes to shrink. These concepts are a component of his strategy to address what he perceives to be a “deep state” in ‌government.
