A clash of perspectives Trump vs. Harris on America's future

Both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have different views on the country. The recent debate between them is a clear example of it. They argued on different topics such as abortion, immigration, and how democracy should work. Vice President Kamala Harris made efforts to provoke Trump. She again and again reminds him about his 2020 election loss. On this Trump said that this defeat is not fair.

Harris also shed light on his false statements that seemed to push him into making personal attacks, which his advisers usually try to avoid. Furthermore, at one point he told Donald Trump about the opinion of foreign leaders. They called him a disgrace during her time as vice president. This debate points out that both have different opinions on policy and also how they handle criticism. In this debate, Harris attacked Trump by personally insulting him, showing the contrast in their styles and perspectives on leading the country.

It is quite troubling that Trump refused to accept his defeat about four years ago. He again and again overturned the election results. This led to the violent Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, which remains a serious event in the history of the United States.

Kamala Harris also explored that Trump was defeated by 81 million voters. She also said it is hard for Trump to accept this defeat.

Trump’s reaction was to criticize Harris and Biden. He questioned why Harris didn’t follow through on her proposed ideas while she was vice president and attacked their handling of illegal migration. Trump also tried to elevate his own status by highlighting that Hungary’s nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orbán praises him, calling him the “most feared person.” This move seems like an attempt to gain international respect by aligning himself with controversial figures.

This debate also makes clear to Americans that campaign dynamics have been shifted. Kamala Harris now knows better how to handle Trump than Joe Biden did in June. in order to limit abortion access, she smartly linked Trump to GOP efforts. She also accused him of undermining democracy.

With early ballots set to be sent out soon, starting in Alabama on Wednesday, Harris used the debate to appeal to Republicans and independents who are disillusioned with Trump. She emphasized that her campaign welcomes all those people who have the desire to support democracy. Also, those who uphold the rule of law, and bring an end to the current chaos. Harris clearly delivered the message. She wants to take the new starts and remove Trump’s divisive style and his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results. Her campaign is an opportunity for those who want stability in American democratic values.

It is also troubling to know that Donald Trump refuses to say it is good for the United States if Ukraine leads Russia in war. Harris gave a strong response and said this is one of the reasons for the happiness of NATO allies. She and Joe Biden both are great supporters of Ukraine. They always stand in defending Ukraine from the Russian invasion.

At the last moment, Trump also predicted a nuclear war. Trump is famous for the fact that he made many false claims related to migrants. Due to this,  Harris seemed to smirk when he said migrants were “taking jobs” from African Americans and Hispanics. Harris also doesn’t pay attention to his claim that immigrants in Ohio are eating their neighbours’ pets, calling it outrageous.

In a small studio, this debate was held. There is no live audience that reacts to this conversation. These two candidates sat in front of each other. The distance between them was less than 3 meters. Without any live audience, there are many serious moments in the debate. The environment was very tense and heated. Both candidates were urging on key issues and discussed the future of Americans.
